ePMO Project Tracker
Zeitcode; Client: Smithfield Foods Inc.
2018 - 2024
The ePMO Project Tracker web application solves the client's project management team's problem of having unsynced and scattered project documentation by giving them a single source of truth for ongoing projects.
We began by interviewing users and stakeholders to gather info on every aspect of the current system. This allowed us to identify areas for improvement. We then organized our ideas to create a plan moving forward. To visualize these improvements with the stakeholders, we developed workflow diagrams. Finally, we took our ideas and made them into interactive prototypes, enabling us to test the user experience rapidly and effectively.

We held design reviews with stakeholders weekly to stay aligned and gather quick feedback. In addition, the design team and project managers meet daily in design syncs where we collaborated on designs and disscussed projects. These regular sessions were great for aligning the direction of our design efforts.

The ePMO Project Tracker was part of an extensive web application suite. Developing a unified visual design language across various applications turned into its own project, but it was valuable for establishing clear design documentation.
At the end of my time with the company, I became the sole designer of the whole suite. Working with other designers would've been more fruitful.
We developed a strong relationship with the stakeholders, which increased trust and led to additional work.
Gained experience in establishing a design direction for a suite of web applications while also creating a useful design system.
Having daily design syncs helped strengthen the direction of business and design goals.
A design system helped ensure a cohesive and familiar user experience and visual language throughout the ePMO Suite of applications. The accompanying images are an abbreviation of the complete design system.
