Tumira
Personal Project
2024
Tumira will solve the problem of overwhelmed artists having too many choices when creating art by giving them predefined shapes and colors.
Tumira is an extension of my Cacho Shapes art studies, providing me with another avenue to delve into the interplay of shapes and colors. In my exploration, I found inspiration in children's toys that feature a variety of blocks and colors, designed for kids to engage with and play.

Prototyping

Developed a system for the shapes so that can all potetionally fit together well on the canvas. Being able to flip or rotate shapes opened up the ability to add more odd shapes to use.

User Experience Design

Tumira was developed using Python and Pygame, allowing for a quick and efficient creation process. The shapes were developed into a font. This made manipulating the size, color, and rotation of the shapes easier during development.

Learning to distribute for web on Itch.io took a lot of time.
Itch.io has been a nice way to distribute the tool
I ejoy using Tumira to make something fun and quick.
The logo was created using the tool. The letter shapes are a redrawn version of my Beach Ball CPC font. The icons were also drawn using the toll but redrawn in Photoshop to be a smaller size.
